With a quay wall length of 300m, an area of 60,000m² and a separate ÖBB track connection to the Westbahn, the Danubia Speicherei is an ideal, trimodal transhipment point on the Danube. With the help of two company-owned cranes/dredgers, ships can be loaded and unloaded with goods of all kinds. In order to increase the storage capacity for bulk materials such as salt or grain, a new warehouse was opened at the end of 2021. The warehouse has a floor area of 1.900m² and a wall height of 6m.
The company Bad Zeller Bau GmbH was commissioned with the construction of the hall. In close cooperation with RINGER it was possible to realize the structural work in a short time. The foreman was delighted with the performance of the Master PRO used. "It was my first job site with this formwork, I am impressed with the performance of the system." This made it possible to erect the walls in a very short construction time and on favorable terms. The walls, which were up to 7.5m high, could be quickly formed with the optimally matched element grid of the Master PRO. With only four anchor points and two rows of anchors at a height of 3m the formwork resulted in an orderly joint course and a symmetrical anchor pattern. The lightweight RINGER concreting platform “L” ensured safe and comfortable work on the construction site. In total, the formwork area was approx. 3,300 m², and 630m³ of concrete was processed.
