Project Industrial Construction Zone Seewalchen am Attersee - Digital planning with BIM²form in practice
In the well-known vacation region of Seewalchen am Attersee, a new showcase project in the field of modern working is currently being built. In an easily accessible location directly at the highway exit, the new building impresses with generous window fronts and a wonderful view of Lake Attersee. Industriebauzone GmbH acts as the planner and builder of the project and realises an office building of a special kind at the outlet of Lake Attersee.
The construction company Pesendorfer was commissioned to carry out the shell construction work. Site foreman Martin Schneeweis was enthusiastic about the performance and flexibility of the RINGER Master formwork used. The foreman has gained a lot of experience in the past with the lightweight AL2000 aluminum formwork from RINGER. Due to the exciting floor plan and the complex execution requirements, the proven Steel Master formwork was used for this project.
When planning the formwork cycle, the RINGER Engineering Team broke new ground. The newly developed planning tool BIM²form of the software company BIM² was used for the first time. BIM²form is an add-in für Autodesk® Revit®, that enables semi-automated planning. Developed by technicians for technicians, the tool intuitively supports planning with wall and slab formwork solutions from RINGER. In the process, complete wall sections are automatically occupied and accessories are added semi-automatically. Standard areas are automated by predefining the partial wall types and then filling the areas with standard types. Complex areas are developed as usual by the know-how of the formwork technician and mapped in the BIM model. This increases the efficiency of model-oriented planning and achieves a consistent BIM workflow. BIM data from upstream trades can be transferred and processed. It is also possible to pass on the planning data including all relevant model information to the subsequent parties.
The model of the office building in Seewalchen developed by the formwork planner has been accessed digitally at the construction site. Each scheduled bar was available in a separate, dedicated view and could be viewed quickly and easily. Thanks to the 3D view and the real-time 2D plans and parts lists available, the construction team was able to identify challenging areas before construction began and react accordingly early.
With the help of this tool, it was possible to plan the optimal formwork components and to determine the order of use efficiently. Among other things, the largest formwork panel in the Steel-Master range with 330x270cm was used. In addition, circular forming plates have been used to form the walls for rounding, hinged inside corners and compensating panels. For the round corners, wooden formwork manufactured by Pesendorfer was used, which can be optimally connected to the steel master panels. The concreting platform "L" provided the necessary work safety and high working comfort in the basement area. The RINGER 3S-platforms were used in the further construction phases. The platform was securely anchored with the 3S-climbing platform adapter, which were fastened with the new PowerComp mounting system using scaffold bolts.
One challenge in forming the ceilings were the generous window fronts. The beams required in this area were constructed together with the slab surfaces using Flex formwork consisting of H20 beams and RINGER formwork panels and then concreted in one pour. For the construction of the facades, the building was equipped with the RINGER speedy scaffolding construction.
